The Prayer

Dear Blog,

Last night I slept in the silence of Nyepi. It was a peaceful night until I woke up because of a big thunder's sound in the morning. After that sound, between asleep and awake I heard like screaming voices. I don't know if it's a sound of rain or not but in my ears I heard it like sound of some people screaming. I know it was happen in the morning. About the time, I don't know exactly. I was too lazy to see the time, but my feeling said it was around 5 am.

And suddenly I felt a fear. My imagination went wild. My eyes imagined there were a big flood outside. That's why there were many people screaming. Yet my logic said it was impossible, I prayed to the Lord. "Oh Lord, I can't do anything about it, but if it should happen, I believe to your protection". And suddenly I felt peace. "Thanks, Lord", I prayed. "I know your kindness to me", and then I fell asleep again.

Now, I'm reading an online newspaper and realize that there are a flood in Situ Gintung, Jakarta. It reminds me about that voices. And now, I want to pray to the Lord again: "Lord, please help and save them".
