Mungkin agak sedikit terlambat menulis blog ini, but I just want to record my journey. G ampir ga ada waktu minggu-minggu ini (cieee sok sibuk hahahaha). Well so, here is the story today:
Two weeks ago, I and friends of mine went to Bunut Bolong. Bunut Bolong is a unique (banyan?) tree which is located in the Manggisari village in north of Bali. The village can be reached after around 86 km riding from Denpasar. What's the unique thing about this tree? Well, the tree is so big and it's standing in the road. It's absolutely big so that it's impossible to move it when the road was built. In result, people made a big hole in the bottom of it so that the road can through it.
A long way that we made when traveling from Kuta to Manggisari, lead us to take some rest in the way. We went to Soka Beach to take some rest and to Kafe Tahu in Negara to take a lunch. Soka, is a black sand beach. In here you can find a river's downstream: A place where sea and river meet.
It still a long way from Soka Beach to Bunut Bolong. We took a small road from Soka and finally arrived in Bunut Bolong after around 30 minutes riding. The tree is magnificent. When we ride in the bottom of it, we can feel a cold gentle wind from its roots. Probably it's breathing. The tree is known sacred as it is guarded by two tigers spirit which are symbolized by two statue of tiger in the shrine near the tree. Story said that when the road was built, the tree cannot be cut down. But to build the road around it would be dangerous. To solve the problem, a hole was dug into it. Of course after they ask the permission to the Gods and the tree itself.
After Bunut Bolong, we went to Juwukmanis waterfall. At the first time heard the name, guess what Juwukmanis waterfall is almost untouchable. No stair or open road to there, you have to go through the jungle and downing the hill. The way was slippery and I fell down many times. Lucky us there were some local children who helped and guided us. After a tiring walk, here are the rewards:
Finally we went home at around 5. And that's the end of the story this time ^^ (<- too lazy to close the story)
